Our Implementation Policy

  • To comply with or exceed applicable domestic and international occupational safety and health regulations and standards, and to pursue the continual improvement of the occupational safety and health management system in order to achieve sustainable development goals.

  • To monitor global occupational safety and health issues, assess risks and opportunities, and invite internal workers or their representatives to participate and provide input, with the aim of building an excellent working environment.

  • To strengthen inherently safe design and implement rigorous occupational safety and health control measures to prevent occupational accidents and promote the safety and health of workers.

  • To establish occupational safety and health action plans and priorities to ensure the effective implementation of all protective measures.

  • To establish quantitative occupational safety and health objectives and systematically improve overall safety and health performance through key performance indicator (KPI) monitoring.

This policy is signed by the Chairperson on behalf of the Company. The Board of Directors serves as the highest-level governance body, providing direction and oversight with respect to the achievement of occupational safety-related objectives and the implementation of performance improvement initiatives. The Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety Department is responsible for driving the overall implementation of this policy. The scope of application covers PharmaEssentia Corporation and its subsidiaries, all operational sites, and workers and value chain business partners under the Company’s supervision, including suppliers/contractors. The applicable domains include R&D, production and operations, products and services, transportation and logistics, and waste management.

Environmental Policy

Since its founding, the Company has been focused on pharmaceutical research and development and the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients. The Company’s primary environmental impacts come from electricity consumption, domestic wastewater treatment, and waste management. Committed to coexistence with the natural world, all Company personnel pledge to observe and implement the following environmental policy, with the aims of achieving pollution prevention and continual improvement, and realizing harmonious development between the Company and the environment.

  • To continuously monitor international environmental issues and reduce the environmental impact of the Company’s business activities.
