PharmaEssentian officially launched The OHS Committee ,and approved to implement the ISO 45001 international standard

To prevent occupational accidents and create a healthy and safe working environment, our company's Taipei headquarters has established the "Occupational Health and Safety Committee" (hereinafter referred to as the OHS Committee). The OHS Committee consists of one director, who is the HQ General Manager, and one executive secretary, who is the Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Additionally, the OHS Committee will comprise 11 members, including: Occupational health and safety personnel, Supervisors, managers, and commanding officers from various departments within the company, Engineering and technical personnel related to occupational health and safety, Healthcare professional  involved in occupational health services, Labor representatives (which constitutes over one-third of the committee members , elected by the Labor-Management Council for a two-year term with the option of reelection.) The current committee members include occupational health and safety personnel, department heads, and research and development personnel. Among them, three labor representatives elected by the Labor-Management Council constitute over one-third of the Safety Committee members. Going forward, regular meetings will be held every three months to discuss occupational health and safety-related issues and deficiencies, facilitating the improvement of future policies and goals.


To effectively prevent workplace accidents, create a friendly working environment, and ensure the safety of employees and contractors, we have introduced the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System since 2024, aligning with international standards. By establishing a comprehensive occupational health and safety management system, we have formulated clear occupational safety and health policies, conducted risk identification, assessment, and control to prevent and mitigate potential occupational safety and health risks in the workplace.   Simultaneously, we adhere to relevant regulations and legal requirements, setting quantifiable occupational safety and health goals and indicators. We regularly implement education and training programs to enhance employees' awareness and skills regarding safety and health. Through the implementation of ISO 45001, we actively respond to various United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:   

  SDG 3_ Good Health and Well-being: Establishing an effective occupational health and safety management system to protect employees from harmful substances, promoting a safer and healthier working environment.   

  SDG 4_ Quality Education: Providing employees with training and education on occupational health and safety, enabling them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for sustainable development, with an emphasis on the sustainable development of safety training.  

  SDG 8_ Decent Work and Economic Growth: Contributing to providing a safe and secure working environment, promoting the protection of labor rights.   

  SDG 12_ Responsible Consumption and Production: Achieving more responsible production and consumption, ensuring a reduction of occupational safety and health risks in the workplace.  

  SDG 13_ Climate Action: Taking urgent action against climate change impacts, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing societal adaptability.    

   SDG 16_ Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: By establishing an effective occupational health and safety management system, contributing to the establishment of more responsible, effective, and transparent institutions.


In accordance with legal requirements, we conduct ongoing occupational safety and disaster prevention training courses annually. Apart from regularly providing general safety education and training to new and existing employees, we also arrange training, certification, and retraining for first aid personnel, hazardous operation supervisors, and occupational health and safety personnel. Furthermore, the company conducts safety promotion and emergency response drills by identifying potential safety hazards in the work environment. On December 15, 2023, we appointed external experts to conduct "General Occupational Safety and Health Education Training" and "Hazardous Chemical Labeling and General Rules" seminars, with a cumulative total of 52 participants and a training duration of 57 hours.   Moving forward, the company will continue to conduct regular training to deepen employees' understanding of safety risks, learn emergency response measures for unforeseen events, and enhance safety awareness. By strengthening employees' ability to respond in hazardous environments, we provide strong support for the company's stable operation.
