PharmaEssentia Summer Internship Program: Future Pharmaceutical Professionals to Advance Corporate Sustainability

In advancing sustainable development, PharmaEssentia recognizes that talent cultivation is pivotal to the long-term, robust growth of the company. We have implemented a "Summer Intern Talent Development Program," recruiting outstanding students from various colleges and universities each year at our headquarters and Taichung plant, with the aim of nurturing the next generation of professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. This initiative not only establishes a platform for attracting exceptional young talent but also enhances the company’s brand recognition and image. Additionally, it allows us to evaluate interns' performance for potential future employment, thereby reducing recruitment and training costs while strengthening our overall competitiveness.
This summer, we welcomed 11 interns who were assigned to core departments such as new drug development, clinical research, and product quality. We designed a comprehensive internship plan and arranged cross-departmental experiences to help them gain a thorough understanding of the activities, processes, and documentation involved in new drug development, clinical research, and quality control. Under the mentorship of experienced employees, the interns were able to independently complete relevant tasks. The clinical research internship included content such as an overview of drug development, an introduction to clinical trial design, and the scope of work within the clinical operations department; guidance on reading clinical regulations and specialized websites related to clinical operations; participation in internal and external clinical project meetings to discuss operational matters; and visits to the annual Bio Asia Biotechnology Exhibition. At the conclusion of the program, department heads will conduct interviews with the interns to assist them in planning their future career paths.
