In addition, according to the special industrial properties of biotechnology and new drugs, we also have introduced SDGs, SASB, Sustainalytics , MSCI, Access to Medicine Index, and other relevant sustainability indicators to integrate with our business operation and strategy. In response to the concerns of internal and external stakeholders on the sustainability topics of ESG, we strive to fulfill the founding purpose: "Better science, Better lives".

Creating Social Value and Impact

Health is the core value of human development, and it has a positive impact on the social, political, and economic development of communities and countries. Research shows that good health has a positive impact on development, and the overall decrease in disease and mortality rates helps to promote productivity and economic growth, and achieve SDG1: to eliminate all forms of poverty globally.

PharmaEssentia has launched a series of sustainable actions based on the Access to Medicine Index, ranging from developing innovative drugs to providing health education and medical support, in order to implement drug governance strategies. At the same time, we are promoting global-local capacity building and medical promotion to address the burden of medical care, providing comprehensive patient care throughout the disease cycle, from disease education to end-of-life care, and establishing a management mechanism for the entire patient care cycle. Sustainable Project is a cross-sectoral action on the health dimension of the SDGs, with a qualitative impact on promoting local and national commitments to monitor and promote health care construction, strengthening public-private and civil society partnerships and participatory decision-making, all of which contribute to achieving SDG17 and revitalizing sustainable global partnerships.

The positive impact indicators of Sustainable Project include quantifiable and socially inclusive sustainable actions: R&D expenditures, promoting clinical trials, increasing product shipments, drug certifications, etc., all of which contribute to promoting health and sustainable development, reaching thousands of people who benefit from improved medical care, reducing overall medical costs for standard treatments and drugs; supporting public welfare activities, assisting vulnerable groups, etc., encouraging more people to participate in sustainable development efforts, reducing inequality and social exclusion that contribute to MPN transmission and impact on health, promoting effective and inclusive health governance, establishing resilient and sustainable health systems, implementing large-scale health plans and capacity building. These actions support SDGs 1, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, and 13.
